Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Engineer for AI object storage to design and implement scalable, high-performance storage systems supporting AI workloads. You will work across hardware-adjacent stacks and integrate with diverse environments to optimize throughput and tail latency.

You will lead cross-functional efforts to elevate reliability, security, and telemetry, while mentoring the engineering team and driving architectural standards across the storage platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in CS or related field.
• 8+ years of professional engineering in storage systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
• Experience with storage protocols (S3, NFS) and Ceph/DAOS.
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions for AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to improve reliability, durability, and telemetry.
• Mentor engineers and establish architectural standards.
