Job summary

Hard Rock Digital is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to set the technical direction for the internal developer platform built on Backstage. This senior role focuses on architecture, roadmaps, and multi‑quarter initiatives across DevOps, SRE, security, and product engineering.

You will shape standards for golden paths, self‑service workflows, and platform APIs, while driving adoption and ensuring guardrails and compliance in a global environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE with senior leadership.
• Owned architecture and roadmap for internal developer platforms at scale (Backstage).
• Proven track record driving self‑service adoption and golden paths across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, roadmap, and catalog strategy for the internal developer platform (Backstage).
• Set company‑wide standards for golden paths, self‑service workflows, and CI/CD patterns.
• Drive platform adoption across engineering teams and manage migration of legacy infra.
• Champion security, compliance, and guardrails by design at platform level.
• Lead AI‑enabled engineering initiatives and embed AI workflows into the platform.
