Job summary

BlackLine is building its first Engineering Hub in Krakow, and seeks a founding Staff Data Engineer to own the analytics and data platform for an AI-powered SaaS product. You will shape ingestion, modelling, and trusted insights using Snowflake and Power BI.

Lead data engineering efforts, mentor engineers, ensure data quality and observability, and collaborate with software, product, and finance teams to deliver scalable data products for global customers.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise with Snowflake data modelling and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL and Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience building and operating production ELT/ETL pipelines.
• End-to-end Power BI development and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the data platform from ingestion to serving in Snowflake.
• Build and govern robust ELT/ETL pipelines to analytics-ready datasets.
• Deliver trusted analytics and enterprise dashboards in Power BI.
• Mentor engineers and elevate data engineering craft in the hub.
• Collaborate with Software, Product, and Finance stakeholders.
