Job summary

BlackLine is building its Krakow Engineering Hub and seeks a founding Staff Engineer to shape the architectural direction and culture of a growing team. You will lead technical decisions, set high standards, and drive the design of a scalable SaaS platform used by global financial operations.

You will leverage AI tooling to accelerate development, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact features with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise using AI-driven development tools to improve velocity and quality.
• Extensive experience architecting, building, and deploying production-grade SaaS applications.
• Strong proficiency in C# and deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Architecture: design scalable, robust SaaS solutions and drive long-term health of the codebase.
• Champion AI-accelerated development and promote agentic tools to speed design, coding, and testing.
• Build and ship high-impact features from concept to production in a mission-critical enterprise app.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and roadmaps.
• Ensure enterprise-scale performance, reliability, low latency, and security.
