Job summary

BlackLine SP ZOO (Poland) is seeking a founding Staff Data Engineer in Kraków to own the analytics and data platform for an AI‑powered SaaS product. You will architect data flow into Snowflake, model for reliability, and surface insights via Power BI.

You will mentor engineers and drive enterprise data craft across the hub. You will leverage Cursor and Claude to accelerate delivery, set quality standards, and collaborate with software, product, and finance teams to deliver trusted data products

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to design end‑to‑end data architecture for a SaaS product.

Responsibilities

Architect and own the data platform from ingestion to serving on Snowflake.
Build and govern ELT/ETL pipelines from operational sources to analytics‑ready datasets.
Deliver enterprise‑grade Power BI reports and semantic models.
Champion modern data modelling with modular, tested data models.
Promote AI‑accelerated development using Cursor and Claude tools.
Set data quality/observability standards with monitoring and automated testing.
Mentor data engineers and elevate the team’s craft and practices.
Collaborate with engineers, product, and finance to translate data needs into reliable data products.
