Job summary

HelloFresh in Warsaw, Poland, invites you to join HelloTech as a Staff Software Engineer, shaping AI-powered shopping experiences across our apps and chatbot surfaces. You’ll own architecture, drive decisions on LLM-powered features, and mentor engineers in a cross‑functional, international team.

From the Warsaw office, you will influence the technical roadmap, collaborate with product and platform stakeholders, and promote observability, performance, and cost-aware design for scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience and strong background in distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Go or willingness to work in Go as primary stack.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI services into production systems.
• Proficient in modern cloud infra (AWS) and observability practices.
• Strong collaboration, mentoring, and communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture for unified AI Assistant experiences across the app and chatbot surfaces.
• Make end-to-end technical decisions on integrating LLM-powered capabilities at scale.
• Bridge Shopping AI & Search with other squads to maintain coherent architecture.
• Define and drive best practices for AI-powered systems, observability, and testing of probabilistic components.
• Provide architecture reviews, design discussions, and hands-on mentoring.
• Promote use of AI coding tools and shape wider team adoption.
• Shape technical roadmap by identifying bottlenecks early.
