HelloFresh is searching for a Backend Engineer to lead initiatives on scalable backend solutions in Warsaw. You will shape the architecture for systems that power our global supply chain, working closely with diverse engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure robust implementations.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend engineering expertise in JVM-based ecosystems (Kotlin or Java).
• Experience with scalable, event-driven systems and messaging technologies.
• Strong understanding of AWS and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-squad technical initiatives for backend solutions.
• Act as a technical bridge between engineering squads and stakeholders.
• Define and drive engineering best practices across teams.
• Optimize data workflows and event-driven architectures.
• Shape technical roadmap by identifying bottlenecks.
