Thinkproject is seeking a Solution Specialist to support customers in their digitalization journey for construction projects. You will configure the application, implement tailored technical solutions, test for quality, and collaborate with consulting teams to design and optimize solutions.

The role requires fluent German and English (French helpful). You will work in a hybrid setup with opportunities for professional growth and participation in various internal networks.

Qualifications

• Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory – French highly appreciated.
• Prerequisite: SQL Server, Oracle databases; PowerShell scripting; Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, IIS, COM+; XML.

Responsibilities

• Configuration and installation of the application to align with customer requirements.
• Implement tailored technical solutions per customer needs.
• Test and document procedures for quality assurance.
• Track issues and coordinate with development teams for quick resolutions and ongoing quality improvements.
• Assist in solution design with the Consulting teams to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and modify implemented solutions during projects.
• Provide technical guidance to consulting teams and create technical documentation.
• Resolve complex support requests in collaboration with support teams.

What your day will look like

The Solution Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and project success by supporting clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. They contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions that meet customer requirements and drive efficiency and productivity.

• Application configuration and installation: Configure the application (data model, modules, settings, etc.) and manage the installation process to ensure it aligns with customer requirements.
• Implementation of technical solutions: Implement tailored technical solutions according to customer needs and specifications.
• Testing and quality assurance: Test the customized solutions from a user’s perspective and document the testing procedures to ensure thorough quality assurance.
• Issue tracking and solution improvement: Track, document, and manage customer issues, work with development teams to find quick solutions, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the solution’s quality.
• Support in solution design: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to help design customized technical solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
• Solution modification and troubleshooting: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to make necessary changes and extensions to the implemented solutions, addressing any issues that arise during the project.
• Technical advisor for consulting teams: Act as a key technical resource for the Consulting teams, providing valuable insights and expertise to support their work.
• Technical documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the project and ensures a clear record of processes and decisions.
• Complex support resolution: Handle and resolve complex support requests in collaboration with the support teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

What you need to fulfill the role

• Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory – French highly appreciated.

  • Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, IIS, COM+, etc.

• Aptitude and ability to understand and configure software solutions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document procedures accurately.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the field of solution implementation and support.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with construction industry processes and terminology is a plus.
