Job summary

Thinkproject is seeking a Solution Specialist to support clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. You will help design, configure, and implement technical solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and project success through thorough testing and documentation.

The role requires fluency in German and English, strong database and Windows/Microsoft tech skills, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional project delivery.

Qualifications

• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience configuring and implementing software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle databases and XML.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server and IIS.
• Ability to document procedures precisely and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install the application to align with customer requirements.
• Implement tailored technical solutions and perform testing/QA.
• Track issues and collaborate with development to deliver fixes.
• Assist in solution design and modify implementations as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for projects.

What your day will look like

The Solution Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and project success by supporting clients in their digitalization journey for construction projects. They contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions that meet customer requirements and drive efficiency and productivity.

Main Responsibilities

• Application configuration and installation: Configure the application (data model, modules, settings, etc.) and manage the installation process to ensure it aligns with customer requirements.
• Implementation of technical solutions: Implement tailored technical solutions according to customer needs and specifications.
• Testing and quality assurance: Test the customized solutions from a user’s perspective and document the testing procedures to ensure thorough quality assurance.
• Issue tracking and solution improvement: Track, document, and manage customer issues, work with development teams to find quick solutions, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the solution’s quality.
• Support in solution design: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to help design customized technical solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
• Solution modification and troubleshooting: Collaborate with the responsible Consultant to make necessary changes and extensions to the implemented solutions, addressing any issues that arise during the project.
• Technical advisor for consulting teams: Act as a key technical resource for the Consulting teams, providing valuable insights and expertise to support their work.
• Technical documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the project and ensures a clear record of processes and decisions.
• Complex support resolution: Handle and resolve complex support requests in collaboration with the support teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organization, including (pre)sales, Technical Consultants, and product teams, to provide technical expertise and ensure seamless project delivery.

What you need to fulfill the role

• Fluent German and English Language skills are mandatory.
• Prerequisite:
• databases SQL Server, Oracle,
• scripting PowerShell
• Microsoft technologies Windows Server, IIS, COM+, etc.
• XML
• Aptitude and ability to understand and configure software solutions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document procedures accurately.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the field of solution implementation and support.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with construction industry processes and terminology is a plus.
