We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online to shape the architecture and governance of enterprise collaboration and content management solutions.
This is a strategic, hands‑on architecture role where you will work across engineering, product and business teams, translating organisational requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable Microsoft 365 solutions.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Defining architecture standards for SharePoint Online, including information architecture, permissions, retention and content lifecycle management.
- Designing and governing integrations across Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
- Evaluating and introducing relevant Microsoft technologies and capabilities, including SPFx, PnP PowerShell, Microsoft Syntex and Fluent UI.
- Establishing scalable approaches to provisioning, access management, automation and compliance.
- Working with Microsoft Purview and related governance capabilities to support security, retention and regulatory requirements.
- Using Azure services such as Azure Functions, Automation and Blob Storage where appropriate.
- Providing architectural direction to engineering teams and supporting complex technical decisions and troubleshooting.
- Reviewing existing solutions and identifying opportunities to improve architecture, configuration, licensing and operational efficiency.
- Advising stakeholders and contributing to technology selection, procurement and discussions with Microsoft and external technology partners.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong commercial experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or equivalent, with a focus on Microsoft 365.
- Deep expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, governance and enterprise integration.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Microsoft Purview.
- Practical knowledge of SPFx, PnP PowerShell and Fluent UI.
- Experience with Azure and cloud-based services.
- Strong knowledge of permissions, identity/access governance, retention, compliance and content lifecycle management.
- Understanding of distributed systems, monitoring/telemetry and enterprise security principles.
- Ability to define architectural direction while working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong English communication skills and experience influencing senior stakeholders and engineering teams.
