Job summary

Billennium is seeking an experienced Software Architect to design secure and scalable Azure-based solutions and drive architectural decisions across projects. You will collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders, translating complex requirements into effective technical designs.

You will write and review .NET/C# code, run architectural workshops, guide teams toward best practices, and explore PoCs to foster innovation while reducing technical debt and improving delivery quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, incl. 2+ years in architecture design.
• Strong .NET ecosystem expertise (C#, EF).
• Azure cloud experience (PaaS, serverless, integrations).

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and thoughtful Software Architect to join our internal team.

In this role, you will play a key part in designing secure and scalable Azure-based solutions while actively contributing to development using modern .NET technologies. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders, helping translate complex requirements into clear, effective technical solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design and shape secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures in Azure
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to co-create high-quality solutions
• Contribute hands-on by writing, reviewing, and refining .NET/C# code
• Facilitate technical workshops and support stakeholders in understanding technical concepts
• Guide development teams with clarity and empathy to align with architectural standards
• Support innovation by building Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and exploring new technologies
• Encourage continuous improvement, including reducing technical debt and strengthening best practices

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in architecture design
• Strong expertise in .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET Core / .NET 8+, Entity Framework)
• Solid experience with Azure cloud (PaaS, serverless, integrations)
• Understanding of microservices, modular monoliths, and system integration patterns
• Practical knowledge of secure software design and enterprise architecture principles
• Experience working collaboratively in distributed teams
• Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting ideas clearly
• English at B2/C1 level

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with ADRs and architecture documentation practices
