Job summary

Jobtailor in Poland is seeking a Backend Java Developer to design, implement, and maintain scalable services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot. You will build RESTful APIs, work with AWS, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2+ years of backend development with Java 17+ and Spring Framework.

• Automation testing with JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or Karate.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Business Process Management workflows and process automation solutions
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on AWS, including EC2 and S3
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage source code using GitHub
• Monitor application health, performance, and logs using Datadog and Elasticsearch
• Develop and maintain automation test suites
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards, secure coding practices, and software engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of backend application development experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Framework
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
• Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or Karate
• Knowledge of API and integration testing with automated test suites
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment
