Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale, reliable cloud services in Warsaw. You will drive architecture decisions across the Agentic Data Plane, collaborating with Cloud, Core, and Platform teams to deliver resilient systems.

You will lead end-to-end projects, work with Go and Kubernetes, and help scale production workloads while ensuring security and uptime. This role requires onsite presence in Warsaw at least 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale, reliable systems in public cloud environments.
• Track record leading large technical projects end-to-end from design through production operations.
• Strong proficiency in Go with production experience on Kubernetes.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows (Claude Code).
• Familiarity with IaC and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the Agentic Data Plane and cloud services across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including control plane and data plane components


• Convert ambiguous product requirements into clear technical designs and executable workstreams


• Contribute to architecture discussions spanning the Agentic Data Plane and adjacent Cloud teams


• Anticipate technical risks and proactively mitigate them for timely, high-quality delivery


• Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and security in shipped code and services


• Participate in the on-call escalation chain and improve operational health


• Build tools and services for automated infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and self-healing


• Integrate resilience and observability into systems supporting enterprise-grade agentic systems and cloud services


• Help architect and build systems powering Redpanda’s Agentic Data Plane


• Lead system architecture, develop new features, and operate the Agentic Data Plane and Redpanda Cloud


• Help meet the 99.99% SLA


• Raise the engineering bar across the Cloud team


• Collaborate with Cloud, Core, Platform engineering, and pre- and post-sales teams

Requirements

• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale, reliable systems in public cloud environments


• Track record leading large technical projects end-to-end, from design and planning through execution and production operations


• Strong proficiency in Go or a comparable systems language, with willingness to ramp up


• Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows, including tools like Claude Code


• Production experience with Kubernetes, including running and operating workloads


• Working knowledge of at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IaC for system and network infrastructure


• Familiarity with stream processing concepts


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Comfortable working in a globally distributed, asynchronous environment such as GitHub


• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and customer-facing stakeholders


• Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience


• Professional backend development experience in Go


• Professional experience developing, operating, and supporting large-scale distributed systems


• Experience running highly scalable production workloads reliably on Kubernetes and monitoring at scale


• Experience working at a pre-IPO B2B SaaS company within the past 5 years


• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform


• Ability and willingness to work onsite in the Warsaw office at least 3 days per week
