Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in Poland seeks a Software Architect for the Demo Platform & Automation team to design distributed services and APIs powering Cisco dCloud demos.

You’ll code in Go and Python, shape architecture and collaborate with multiple partner teams and content developers to accelerate reliable demos. You'll lead the technical direction, write design documents, and mentor others, while ensuring secure, scalable systems across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years designing distributed systems across on-premises datacenters and public cloud (e.g., AWS)
• Production development experience in Go and Python
• Experience running containerized services on Kubernetes (e.g., EKS) with GitOps (Argo CD, Helm), CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs or libraries used by other teams
• Professional experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

Responsibilities

• Design solutions across the dCloud platform, then build, run and support them yourself.
• Shape technical direction as an individual contributor, influencing five partner teams through your designs, code and reviews.
• Build the libraries and APIs content developers use to ship reliable demos faster.
• Create MCP servers and catalog chatbots that make demos easier to find and run.
