Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong motivation to learn, improve technical skills, and grow as a software engineer.
• Knowledge of Python and/or Go, or another modern programming language, plus eagerness to grow in Python and Go as needed.
• Hands-on experience with React or another modern front-end framework is beneficial.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, automated tests (unit/functional/integration).
• Problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, and delivery of long-term-impact software.
• Maintain existing technology stack and debug and fix issues.
• Collaborate with product management, architects, user experience, and the team to build features and reusable components.
• Build, analyze, and optimize backend services in Python and Go, focusing on simplicity, efficiency, reliability and performance.
• Contribute to React-based user interfaces and reusable front-end components when opportunities align.
• Develop understanding of existing code and apply sound judgment for improvements.
• Follow the software development lifecycle in an Agile methodology and contribute to engineering culture through testing, observability and operational excellence.
