Job summary

Cisco Systems in Warszawa is seeking a Software Architect for Demo Platform & Automation, Cisco dCloud. In this remote-first role, you will design and implement services and libraries, drive AI-driven automation, and collaborate with multiple teams to ship reliable demos worldwide.

You will spend substantial time coding in Go and Python on Kubernetes, shaping architectural directions, and ensuring security and reliability across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering.
• 3+ years designing distributed systems across on-premises datacenters and public cloud (e.g., AWS).
• Production development experience in Go and Python.
• Experience running containerized services on Kubernetes (e.g., EKS) with GitOps (Argo CD, Helm), CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs or libraries used by other teams.
• Professional experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).

Job Title: Software Architect – Demo Platform & Automation, Cisco dCloud

MEET THE TEAM

Cisco dCloud lets sales teams, partners and customers launch live demos and labs of Cisco solutions on demand, worldwide. Every demo helps Cisco win customers, and our platform runs them across five Cisco-owned datacenters and the public cloud. We’re a collaborative, remote-first organization of 50 software, DevOps, UI, virtualization and support engineers working alongside the content developers who build the demos. We automate environments that combine cloud, virtual infrastructure and real Cisco hardware, and now we’re bringing AI into all of it!

YOUR IMPACT

Design solutions across the dCloud platform, then build, run and support them yourself. Shape technical direction as an individual contributor, influencing five partner teams through your designs, code and reviews. Build the libraries and APIs content developers use to ship reliable demos faster. Create MCP servers and catalog chatbots that make demos easier to find and run. You’ll succeed when demos start reliably, new ones ship faster and AI agents can run our automation!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Spend about 45% of your time coding services, SDKs and libraries in Go and Python on Kubernetes, and building micro-frontends with AI tools in partnership with the UI team. Spend 25% on architecture: write design documents, review designs and set engineering standards. Use the rest to keep your systems reliable and secure (15%) and to plan work with partner teams and content developers (15%).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years designing distributed systems across on-premises datacenters and public cloud (e.g., AWS)
• Production development experience in Go and Python
• Experience running containerized services on Kubernetes (e.g., EKS) with GitOps (Argo CD, Helm), CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs or libraries used by other teams
• Professional experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building LLM applications such as MCP servers, AI agents, RAG pipelines or chatbots
• Architecture-level understanding of React micro-frontends
• Understanding of compute, network and storage virtualization (e.g., VMware, Nutanix), and comfort discussing VLANs, VXLAN, trunking and route aggregation
• Experience with Java or Kotlin, and with GCP or Azure
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and to explain designs clearly to technical and business audiences
