Job summary

SGS is seeking a SMART Project Manager to drive the Global Portfolio & Innovation agenda from a PMO perspective. You will ensure high-quality portfolio data, governance and executive reporting across initiatives, with a focus on data analysis, stakeholder alignment and decision-ready presentations.

The role sits in a multinational setting, offers a flexible work model, and opportunities to progress into PMO or Transformation leadership roles within SGS.

Qualifications

• Degree required as listed in the ad.
• 2–4 years’ experience in PMO, portfolio coordination, business analysis, or operations.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze portfolio data across global initiatives.
• Produce regular portfolio reports and insights.
• Maintain Power BI dashboards for benefits tracking.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for decisions.
• Manage central portfolio repository and governance templates.
• Coordinate portfolio review cycles and reporting materials.
• Track actions and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Support onboarding of new initiatives into the portfolio.
• Monitor benefits vs. planned performance and identify variances.
• Develop executive-level presentations and narratives.
• Support process design, templates, and continuous improvement.

The SMART Project Manager supports the execution of the Global Portfolio & Innovation agenda, ensuring high-quality portfolio data, structured governance, and clear executive reporting across Finance transformation initiatives.

This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, portfolio management, and executive support, enabling informed decision-making and consistent portfolio performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Portfolio Data & Reporting

• Consolidate and analyze portfolio data across multiple global initiatives
• Produce regular portfolio reports and performance insights
• Maintain and update Power BI dashboards for benefits tracking
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making

2. Portfolio Governance & Repository Management

• Manage the central portfolio repository (SharePoint / shared drives)
• Maintain governance templates, frameworks, and documentation
• Coordinate portfolio review cycles and prepare reporting materials
• Track actions and ensure follow-up with stakeholders
• Support onboarding of new initiatives into the portfolio

3. Benefits Tracking & Performance Monitoring

• Maintain benefits tracking across all initiatives
• Monitor planned vs. actual performance in collaboration with stakeholders
• Identify and elevation variances and risks

4. Executive Presentation Support

• Develop and refine executive-level presentations
• Structure clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders
• Iterate quickly based on leadership feedback

5. Process & Continuous Improvement

• Support the design and documentation of portfolio management processes
• Improve templates, tools, and governance practices
• Contribute to process optimization and innovation initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• 2–4 years’ experience in PMO, portfolio coordination, business analysis, or operations
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard management
• Exposure to multinational or shared services environments

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced Excel (data consolidation, financial tracking, analysis)
• PowerPoint (executive-level presentations)
• Power BI / data visualization (preferred)
• Strong financial and analytical mindset (budgets, forecasting, variance analysis)
• Structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong stakeholder communication skills in a global environment
