Job summary

SGS is seeking a Global Process Expert to serve as a deep SME in end-to-end finance processes, partnering with regional stakeholders to standardize, document, and deploy global finance practices across R2R, P2P, and O2C.

You will drive process design, data analysis, and automation opportunities while supporting ERP enhancements and global compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in finance operations or shared services, including deep process experience in P2P.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle), financial close systems (e.g., BlackLine, Trintech), and process mapping tools (Signavio).
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to reconcile global standards with local needs.
• Ability to bridge finance, operations, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed end-to-end process documentation (Level 4/5) for R2R and related finance processes.
• Act as SME for process design, supporting global harmonization and standardization initiatives.
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for simplification, control improvement, and automation.
• Support the Global Process Owner (GPO) and Optimization Expert (GPOE) in transformation programs and digital finance initiatives.
• Conduct impact assessments and provide business requirements for ERP enhancements and process technology tools.
• Partner with regional and local finance teams to ensure global process compliance with local regulations.
• Lead or support process testing, training, and change management efforts during new deployments or update.
• Monitor process performance and support KPI design and validation.
• Maintain the global finance process taxonomy and ensure alignment across systems and documentation.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, user guidance, and best practice forums.

Job Description

As a Global Process Expert you will serve as a deep subject matter expert (SME) in end-to-end finance processes, supporting cross-functional integration between Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and related finance operations. This role works closely with process owners, optimization teams, technology, and regional stakeholders to standardize, document, improve, and support the global deployment of finance processes.
