Job summary

Be | Shaping the Future Poland is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer on a fixed-term B2B contract to cover maternity leave until March 2027. The role focuses on incident, problem and change management, and supporting test and development teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor or master degree in CS-related fields, 4+ years in SRE or IT-support, and has knowledge of Linux, SQL, cloud platforms and networking tools. Willingness to work on-call is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or related area.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in site reliability engineering or IT support.
• Knowledge of Linux (basic scripting and commands), SQL, cloud platforms and networking tools (F5/HAProxy) is appreciated.
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability stacks and logging practices.
• Willingness to work on-call.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve incidents, problems and changes.
• Quickly determine impact in high level incidents, estimate resolution times and establish counter measures.
• Initiate improvement plans and prevention of problems.
• Support test and development teams.
• Produce quality improvement plans, business continuity plans, operating instructions.

• Manage and resolve incidents, problems and changes

• Initiate improvement plans and prevention of problems
• Support test and development teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably Computer Science-related area
• Minimum 4 years of experience in site reliability engineering or in IT support-related roles
• Knowledge of Linux (basic – scripting + basic commands), SQL, cloud platforms and networking tools (F5/HaProxy) is appreciated
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability stacks and logging practices
• Willingness to work on-call
