Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a company seeking a QA Engineer to own testing for a Shopify platform during evening/overnight shifts in Poland. The role covers storefront, checkout, subscriptions, payments, themes, and third-party integrations with manual and automated testing, collaborating closely with developers to validate fixes and ensure platform health.

Responsibilities include end-to-end testing, triaging defects, and producing clear handoffs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional QA/testing experience, preferably in ecommerce or high-growth environments.
• Strong Shopify knowledge: Admin, themes, apps, metafields, storefront architecture.
• Experience with GitHub: branches, PRs, diffs, issue tracking, code reviews.
• Solid HTML/CSS/JavaScript understanding for debugging storefront issues.
• Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device regression testing.
• Excellent written and spoken English for asynchronous reporting and handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live Shopify storefront during assigned shift, identifying bugs and visual issues.
• Validate deployments, theme updates, and third-party app integrations before/after releases.
• Execute end-to-end manual and automated regression testing across desktop and mobile.
• Write and maintain structured test cases; perform cross-browser validation with BrowserStack.
• Document defects in ClickUp and GitHub Issues with clear steps and context.
• Collaborate with developers through GitHub issues and PR comments to validate fixes.
• Perform checks on third-party apps to spot conflicts; escalate issues per on-call procedures.
• Prepare shift handoff notes to ensure clear communication of open issues and risks.
• Respond promptly to uptime/alerts and maintain coverage Monday-Friday EST.
