A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced transformation professional to support the delivery of major strategic initiatives across its international banking business.

This role will sit at the intersection of business strategy, transformation and execution. The successful candidate will help translate strategic priorities into deliverable programmes, working with senior leaders and teams across multiple regions and functions.

The position offers significant exposure to executive stakeholders and requires someone who is comfortable operating in a complex, matrix environment. You will be expected to bring structure to ambiguous situations, challenge existing ways of working and ensure that strategic initiatives move from concept through to measurable business outcomes.

A key focus will be on initiatives designed to modernise and simplify the organisation, including the digital evolution of products, customer propositions and internal processes.

What You Will Do

• Take ownership of selected strategic transformation initiatives from initial definition through execution and implementation.
• Work with senior business leaders to clarify priorities, define desired outcomes and establish practical delivery plans.
• Convert strategic objectives into measurable milestones, deliverables and success criteria.
• Coordinate complex programmes involving multiple teams, functions and geographical locations.
• Establish and maintain effective governance, ensuring senior stakeholders have clear visibility of progress, decisions, risks and dependencies.
• Monitor programme performance, including delivery progress, financial impact, resource requirements and expected business benefits.
• Identify obstacles that could affect delivery and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve or escape them.
• Lead discussions with senior stakeholders and facilitate governance forums, workshops and decision‑making sessions.
• Prepare concise, high‑quality materials for executive audiences, including strategic papers, proposals, business cases and management presentations.
• Support the development of transformation roadmaps and implementation strategies.
• Drive the adoption of more efficient, digital and scalable ways of working.
• Work across business and technology teams to ensure strategic initiatives are translated effectively into execution.
• Track the value delivered by transformation initiatives and support benefits realisation.
• Influence stakeholders across a complex matrix organisation, including teams outside of your direct reporting structure.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a senior professional who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities.

You should have:

• 10+ years of experience in transformation, strategic change, programme management, consulting or a related field.
• A strong record of delivering complex initiatives within large, international organisations.
• Experience working on enterprise‑wide transformation, strategic change, digital transformation or business improvement programmes.
• The ability to work directly with senior and executive‑level stakeholders and confidently challenge, influence and guide decision‑making.
• Experience managing programmes involving multiple workstreams, teams and dependencies.
• Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management and delivery controls.
• Experience managing or monitoring budgets, costs, resources and programme benefits.
• Proven ability to develop compelling business cases, strategic documents and executive‑level presentations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to make complex topics understandable for different audiences.
• Experience working in a matrix environment where influencing skills are essential to achieving results.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum in a fast‑changing environment.
• Confidence working with stakeholders across different countries, cultures and time zones.

The following would be advantageous:

• Background in investment banking, corporate banking or another complex financial services environment.
• Experience delivering large‑scale digital or technology‑enabled transformation.
• Exposure to strategic investment or business change portfolios.
• Experience working with Agile delivery approaches.
• Knowledge of outcome‑based delivery frameworks, including OKRs.
• Experience with operating model, process or organisational transformation.
• Previous experience in management consulting, internal strategy or transformation functions.
