Job summary

Jit Team is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain backend services for a Nordic-focused digital banking platform. You will work in a Warsaw-based hybrid setup with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical designs and end-to-end delivery while leveraging AI-powered development methods.

The role requires 5+ years in development and testing, strong Java 21+ and REST API skills, and experience with microservices, Spring, and modern databases.

Qualifications

Salary: 1000-1200 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: hybrid from Warszawa (3 days per week from the office)

Join our Channels-Business unit and help shape the future of digital business banking across the Nordic region. Our teams deliver innovative web and mobile banking solutions used by customers in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway, while continuously evolving the next generation of digital banking services. You will become part of a vibrant Digital Scalable Model Hub, primarily based in Warsaw, working within one of seven agile teams. Together with developers, testers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and enhancement of customer-facing banking products. This role offers an opportunity to influence solutions from concept to production while working on a modern, large-scale banking platform and leveraging the latest AI-powered development practices.

Responsibilities You’ll Have

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services supporting digital banking platforms
• Take ownership of backend testing activities within an agile team, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to technical solution design
• Support analysis activities by translating business needs into effective technical solutions
• Utilize AI-powered tools in daily development, testing, and delivery processes
• Contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, continuous improvement, and operational support
• Work within a cross-functional Agile team to deliver customer-focused digital banking services

Expected competences and knowledge

• At least 5 years of experience in both development and testing activities
• Strong experience in Java 21+, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Practical knowledge of Spring Boot 3.x, Spring WebFlux, Hibernate, Git, Maven, and Jenkins
• Experience working with Oracle DB, DB2, and SQL databases
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and modern software engineering practices
• Proven experience with test automation, including unit, integration, API, and performance testing
• Experience with JUnit 5, Cucumber, and WireMock
• Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk
• Experience using AI tools in software development workflows
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments
