Job summary

Beffio Studio seeks a Senior Technical Artist specializing in Houdini for our remote, international team. This senior, hands-on role designs and implements scalable procedural workflows for environment art and asset production, and integrates Houdini outputs into real-time pipelines such as Unity3D or Unreal Engine.

You will build HDAs, tools, and automated processes that empower artists to iterate, maintain artistic consistency, and deliver high‑quality assets efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Technical Art, procedural game art, or related disciplines.
• Advanced Houdini experience with a portfolio demonstrating production-ready procedural systems.
• Strong knowledge of procedural modeling, geometry processing, attributes, and node-based workflows.
• Proficiency in VEX and Python scripting for Houdini.
• Experience building reusable HDAs and artist-facing procedural tools.
• Understanding of real-time game asset production, including optimization, UVs, materials, and geometry budgets.
• Experience integrating procedural assets into Unity3D, Unreal Engine, or comparable real-time engines.
• Strong artistic understanding of shape, composition, visual consistency, and production requirements.
• Ability to design maintainable procedural systems and solve complex technical challenges independently.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop procedural tools, generators, and systems using Houdini.
• Create scalable workflows for environment assets, geometry processing, modular content, and world-building tasks.
• Develop reusable Houdini Digital Assets (HDAs) that give artists creative control while maintaining production consistency.
• Build procedural systems that support artistic iteration, controlled variation, and efficient asset creation.
• Explore new procedural techniques that improve production quality and efficiency.
• Integrate Houdini-generated content into real-time game development workflows.
• Develop reliable asset export, validation, and optimization processes.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers to integrate procedural solutions into Unity3D, Unreal Engine, or related production pipelines.
• Ensure generated content meets artistic, technical, and performance requirements.
• Troubleshoot procedural systems, geometry issues, and pipeline bottlenecks.
• Build artist-friendly procedural tools with clear parameters and predictable outputs.
