Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Systems and Instrumentation Design Engineer to lead system definition and process integration for upgrades on gas/steam turbines, compressors, and turboexpanders. The role blends design, modeling and site support to extend machine life and improve efficiency.

You will engage with internal teams and customers, travel for site surveys, and drive continuous improvement within a hybrid Warsaw-based setup. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s level degree in a relevant engineering discipline or higher.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or energy engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of fluid systems and simulation tools (Hysys, FlowMaster, Matlab/Simulink).
• Demonstrated problem-solving and process-improvement skills.
• Fluency in English and ability to work across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop system definition and process integration for Upgrades solutions.
• Attend site surveys to define new supply and integrate into existing plant.
• Develop predictive system design through modeling (Matlab/Simulink, FlowMaster, Hysys).
• Execute design and analysis per project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with multiple internal interfaces and external customers/suppliers.
• Provide technical leadership and manage engineering hours budget.
• Demonstrate inclusiveness and collaboration across teams.
