Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead UPG Systems Engineer to oversee system definition and site integration for Upgrades across gas turbines, steam turbines, and compressors. You will drive design, verification, and installation support while coordinating with internal teams and external partners to extend machine life and efficiency.

Role requires advanced degrees in engineering, experience in Oil & Gas, and strong modeling skills using MATLAB/Simulink, HYSYS, and FlowMaster; English fluency is

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or equivalent.
• Oil & Gas or energy-related engineering environment experience.
• Knowledge of fluid systems and computational simulation tools (HYSYS, FlowMaster, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; English fluency; Italian an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead system definition and integration for Upgrades solutions (P&ID).
• Attend site surveys to define new supply and integrate it into plant.
• Develop predictive design through modeling to foresee transient behaviors.
• Coordinate engineering activities across internal interfaces.
• Interact with customers and suppliers to maximize proficiency; manage spare parts process.
