Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead UPG Systems Engineer in Warsaw to oversee system definition (P&ID) and process integration for Upgrades solutions, spanning legacy gas and steam turbines, compressors and turboexpanders, plus Climate Technology Solutions.

You will design auxiliaries, perform site surveys, and develop predictive models to improve efficiency and life extension of machines, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in an Oil & Gas or energy-related engineering environment.
• Knowledge of fluid systems and familiarity with computational simulation tools (Hysys, FlowMaster, Matlab/Simulink).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of auxiliaries for Upgrades solutions, including process definition and instrument selection.
• Attend site surveys to define new supply and integrate into existing plants.
• Develop predictive system design through modeling to foresee transient behaviors and define high-level control logic.
• Execute design, analysis or evaluation of projects following engineering standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with ITO Team, Project Engineering, Project Manager, and other disciplines across interfaces.
• Coordinate with Customers and Suppliers to maximize proficiency and manage spare parts support.
• Provide technical leadership and manage engineering hours budget for internal/external teams.
• Demonstrate inclusiveness and adaptability within the team environment.
