Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the remote Poland team. You will lead reliability investigations across global edge, media delivery, and web delivery platforms, and serve as a high-level escalation point for critical incidents.

You will develop automation, improve observability with SLIs, SLOs, and dashboards, and collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, and Network teams to implement scalable, long-term improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in large-scale SRE/Infrastructure roles.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and network fundamentals.
• Experience with automation and telemetry tools.
• Ability to diagnose complex distributed systems and optimize performance.
• Experience with AI-assisted diagnostics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex reliability and performance investigations across Akamai's global edge, media delivery, and web delivery platforms.
• Troubleshoot critical distributed systems across app, platform, network, and OS layers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, and Networking teams to implement scalable fixes.
• Design observability with SLIs, SLOs, KPIs, dashboards, and alerts.
• Develop automation, internal tools, and self-service workflows to speed incident response.
• Provide off-hours support during critical incidents as needed.
