Astek Polska sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior SMT Process & Manufacturing Engineer in Warsaw to lead SMT/THT processes and drive NPI and pilot productions.

You will work hands-on with production teams, optimize processes, and ensure quality standards across electronics manufacturing environments. The role requires deep experience in SMT, THT, and IPC standards, with a focus on process optimization, training, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SMT and THT manufacturing processes.
• Led at least two electronics manufacturing implementations including SMT.
• Launched, set up, or relocated SMT production lines.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes like solder paste printing, pick & place, reflow profiling, NPI, and process optimization.
• Experience with THT and manual assembly; familiar with IPC standards and ESD.

Our projects

At the Engineering Competence Center, we deliver services and projects for the Automotive, Rail, and Oil & Gas sectors. Our specialized engineering teams work within project and competency groups, whose activities we manage. We also conduct training and certification programs to enhance the engineering competencies of our consultants.

Position

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Senior SMT Process & Manufacturing Engineer for our client from the electronics manufacturing industry.

Offered salary

Salary: from 1000 to 1300 PLN net/day, depending on experience and competences.

You’re ideal for this role if you:

• Have 5+ years of hands-on experience with SMT and THT manufacturing processes.
• Have participated in at least two electronics manufacturing implementations, including at least one involving SMT technology.Have practical experience in launching, setting up, or relocating SMT production lines.
• Have strong knowledge of SMT processes, including solder paste printing, pick & place, reflow profiling, NPI, and process optimization.
• Have experience with THT and manual assembly processes.Are familiar with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) and ESD requirements.
• Have experience in production organization, process engineering, quality improvement, and troubleshooting.Are comfortable working hands-on with production teams and providing technical training.
• Have experience in high-quality manufacturing environments such as electronics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or defence.

Nice to have:

• IPC CIS/CIT certification,
• experience selecting and purchasing SMT equipment,
• knowledge of MES and production traceability systems,
• Technical English.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
