Astek Polska sp. z o.o. is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Heavy Industry client, focusing on ensuring quality in welded steel structures and close cooperation with Production, Engineering, and Welding teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, German and English at B2 level or higher, and strong skills in 8D, RCA, and GD&T. This is a long-term role with training, certifications, and an employee benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with welded steel structures (mandatory).
• German and English at B2 level or higher.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspections.
• Experience with root cause analysis and 8D reporting.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 3834, or EN 15085 standards.
• Previous experience in crane, railway, or heavy steel fabrication is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Handle customer complaints and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain direct technical and quality communication with customers.
• Prepare 8D reports and perform root cause analyses.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions for continuous quality improvement.
• Verify product compliance with drawings and customer requirements.

Position

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Quality Engineer for our client from the Heavy industry.

Offered salary

Salary: from 90 to 110PLN net/day, depending on experience and competences.

You're ideal for this role if you:

• Have 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Have hand-on experience working with welded steel structures (mandatory).
• Speak German and English at B2 level or higher.
• Can confidently read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Have a solid understanding of dimensional and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
• Have experience in dimensional inspections and measurements.
• Are familiar with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Have experience handling customer complaints and resolving quality-related issues.
• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ideally, have knowledge of welding processes, ISO 9001, ISO 3834, or EN 15085 standards.
• Previous experience in the crane, railway, or heavy steel fabrication industry is a plus.

• Knowledge of welding processes and welding-related quality requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 3834, and/or EN 15085 standards.
• Previous experience in the crane, railway, or heavy steel structures manufacturing industry.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Handling customer complaints and resolving quality-related issues.
• Maintaining direct technical and quality-related communication with customers.
• Preparing 8D reports and conducting root cause analyses (RCA).
• Coordinating corrective and preventive actions to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Verifying product compliance with technical documentation, engineering drawings, and customer requirements.
• Collaborating closely with Production, Engineering, and Welding departments to resolve quality issues.
