Astek Polska is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with strong project management experience to lead engineering projects from initiation to delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage scope, timelines, and budgets while applying PMO practices.

The role requires excellent planning, stakeholder management, and fluent English; German is a plus. PRINCE2, PMP, or PMI certification is a plus. Long-term collaboration and professional development are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement projects from initiation to delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, plans, schedules, and timelines.
• Build and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
• Manage project budgets and ensure objectives are met.
• Monitor progress, identify risks/issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide regular status updates to Management Board.
• Mentor team members in developing PM skills and experience.
• Develop and improve PM processes and best practices across the organization.

Position

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Lead Mechanical Engineer for our client from the Engineering industry.

Offered salary

Salary: from 90 to 110PLN net/day, depending on experience and competences.

You’re ideal for this role if you:

• Hold a university degree; additional education in Project Management is a strong advantage.


• Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivered projects.


• Have a strong understanding of project management methodologies, PMO processes, and industry best practices.


• Are proficient in using project management tools and know how to apply them effectively throughout the project lifecycle.


• Have experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization, including senior management.


• Demonstrate strong planning, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Are confident in managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.


• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is an additional advantage.


• Hold a recognized project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or another PMI certification — this would be an additional asset.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
