Job summary

Altium is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of Altium Cloud Platforms. The role blends software engineering with operations, emphasizing automation, observability, and incident management.

You will work closely with engineering teams to implement reliability patterns, scale SaaS services, and promote IaC practices across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps or related role in a large-scale environment.
• Software development experience with .NET
• Strong understanding of SDLC, microservice and HA architecture
• Observability tools: NewRelic, ELK, Grafana, PagerDuty, OTEL
• Production Kubernetes on AWS and IOC
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, ArgoCD
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible
• Networking fundamentals
• Relational databases (MySQL, Postgres) a plus

Responsibilities

• Understand how an Altium Cloud Platform works
• Improve observability with logging, monitoring, and APM for reliability
• Develop reliability frameworks and patterns for SaaS products across regions
• Foster a shared responsibility model with engineering teams on reliability
• Contribute to incident response with rapid resolution and post-incident analysis
• Participate in system design, platform management, and capacity planning
• Collaborate with engineering to improve product stability and observability
• Drive infrastructure automation and IaC to improve deployment efficiency
• Uphold Service-Oriented Ownership for clear service accountability
