Sii Poland seeks a Senior Control Engineer to lead design, development, and maintenance of MLSL applications for Medium Voltage Drive Control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnaces. You will collaborate with electrical, control, and power electronics specialists to translate requirements into robust software solutions.

The role emphasizes MATLAB/Simulink, ABB control platforms, Control Builder, and CodeSys proficiency, with strong English communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Deep expertise in MATLAB and Simulink for control algorithm development.
• Strong domain knowledge in Medium Voltage Drives and their control systems.
• Experience with ABB control platforms and familiarity with Control Builder.
• Practical experience in developing and optimizing drive control strategies for industrial applications.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining MLSL applications for Medium Voltage Drive Control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnace power supply solutions.
• Analyzing control system requirements and translating them into functional and software specifications.
• Developing and validating control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Configuring, implementing, and testing control logic within ABB control platforms.
• Participating in software integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Supporting the development and optimization of drive control strategies for industrial power electronics applications.
• Working with Control Builder and CodeSys environments to implement and maintain control solutions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, control, and power electronics specialists.
• Performing simulation, verification, and validation of control systems using Real-Time Simulation platforms.
• Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design through commissioning and operational support.
• Contributing to technical documentation, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
