Job summary

AgileEngine is building a strategic talent pool for several high-priority Shopify Plus projects launching in the coming months, with a remote-first environment and a community of senior engineers.

You will architect, develop, and maintain high-performance eCommerce solutions, contribute to code reviews and security practices, and collaborate across product and engineering to drive the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Shopify development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus features.
• Solid understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with page performance optimization, caching, CDNs, and secure development practices.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve site issues with tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop key system components, identify reusable modules, and optimize delivery times.
• Perform deep code analysis, develop patches, and implement new platform features.
• Research platform capabilities and identify opportunities for the eCommerce roadmap.
• Engage with Product Management on system design, capabilities, and innovative solutions.
• Provide first-level Shopify technical support, troubleshoot critical issues, and conduct incident postmortems.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical validation.
• Work with the broader development team to ensure best practices in security and performance.
• Support Project Management with effort estimates and planning.
• Proactively identify and remove technical roadblocks.
