AgileEngine is building a strategic talent pool for high-priority Shopify Plus projects launching soon. The role centers on architecting, developing, and maintaining high-performance eCommerce solutions with a senior engineering community in a remote-first setting.

You will drive code analysis, platform architecture, and eCommerce roadmap strategy while delivering Shopify Plus technical support and rigorous code reviews.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Shopify development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus and its features.
• Understanding of the SDLC and modern development methodologies.
• Experience with page performance optimization, caching, CDNs, and secure development.
• Ability to diagnose site issues with various tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-first mindset, patience, and empathy.
• Familiarity with Jira and collaborative environments.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Develop key system components and identify reusable modules.
• Perform deep code analysis, patching, and platform feature implementation.
• Research platform capabilities and shape the eCommerce roadmap.
• Collaborate with Product Management on design and capabilities.
• Provide first-level Shopify technical support and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to code reviews, unit testing, and validation.
• Promote security and performance best practices across the team.
• Assist Project Management with effort estimates and planning.
• Identify and remove technical roadblocks proactively.
