Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a senior SAP Functional Consultant / Business Analyst to drive the SAP SD and O2C processes in a global rental-system project. You will act as SME for Fleet Management - URR, collaborating with stakeholders across product lifecycle and IT teams.

The role emphasizes agile delivery, requirements gathering, and end-to-end solution design, including data migration, testing, and release management. Strong English communication is essential for our global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant / Business Analyst, with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD).
• Proven experience in SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, including Solution Order Management.
• Good understanding of subscription-based business models; exposure to SAP Subscription Billing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of business processes, business value, and related IT systems as SME for Fleet Management - URR.
• Act as primary point of contact for the assigned product area, collaborating with stakeholders through the lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, analyze gaps, and define functional requirements for new features.
• Translate business requirements into user-centric, scalable solutions aligned with end-to-end processes.
• Contribute to user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
• Participate in roadmap planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization to maximize value.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture, including integrations and dependencies.
• Perform SAP configuration/customising and support deployments.
• Plan and execute testing, with test strategy and defect management.
• Support data migration activities for deployments.
• Coordinate releases and go-live readiness checks.
• Investigate incidents and production issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date process and product documentation.
• Provide regular status updates and stakeholder alignment across teams.
• Monitor product performance and drive ongoing optimization.

Our project is a big and complex rental system for corporate clients. We operate on a global scale and work with huge construction companies. The system has a range of system-critical components and generates 1mln CHF per month. GlobalLogic team is a primary vendor and we work in a tight collaboration for 16 months already. We're supporting IT infrastructure responsible for the renting tools all over the world for a lead provider company based in Switzerland. Our team is working with SAP platform and middleware (Java microservices).

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as an SAP Functional Consultant / Business Analyst, with strong hands‑on expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD).
• Proven experience in SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, including Solution Order Management.
• Good understanding of subscription-based business models; exposure to SAP Subscription Billing is an advantage.

Nice to have:know-how on Universal Revenue Recognition (URR), Revenue Accounting, and Finance & Accounting processes.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in requirements analysis, solution design, SAP configuration/customizing, testing, and deployment activities.
• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and product‑centric ways of working.
• Proficiency with software development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products.
• Familiarity with integration concepts, data migration activities, and release management processes within SAP landscapes.

• Develop a deep understanding of business processes, business value, and related IT systems, serving as the subject matter expert for the assigned product area (Fleet Management - URR).
• Act as the primary point of contact for the assigned product area, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

• Support and execute data migration activities to enable successful solution deployments.
• Coordinate product releases and rollouts, performing readiness assessments and go‑live validation checks.
• Investigate incidents, defects, and production issues, driving resolution in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date process, solution, and product documentation.
• Provide regular status updates, facil­i­ate stakeholder alignment, and ensure effective communication across business and IT teams.

Contribute to Support and Operations:

• Provide support for assigned product area in ServiceNow, including ticket handling.
• Monitor and analyze solution usage, initiating follow‑up actions as required.
• Identify product improvement opportunities and ensure their realization in the product development process.
