Job summary

MTU Aero Engines Polska, a leading aerospace component producer, is seeking a Senior SAP BASIS Engineer (W/M) to join the IT Operations team in Tajęcina near Rzeszów. You will own technical operation, stability and availability of SAP landscapes, coordinating with infra, DB, cloud and application teams in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as SAP Basis Administrator or in SAP Technical Operations.
• Solid knowledge of SAP system architecture and SAP Basis fundamentals.
• Experience with SAP HANA database operations from a Basis perspective.
• Practical experience in system monitoring, performance analysis, and incident handling.
• Understanding of transport management and system change processes.
• Ability to work in a global, distributed team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good command of English and Polish (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient technical operation of SAP systems (private Cloud).
• Perform SAP system administration tasks and coordinating SAP operations including system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage system start/stop activities, backups, restores, and basic disaster recovery procedures.
• Support SAP transports, system copies, refreshes, and upgrades in coordination with functional and project teams.
• Monitor and support SAP interfaces, background jobs, and batch processing.
• Handle SAP Basis incidents, problems, and service requests
• Coordinate technical changes and maintenance activities, including downtime windows.
• Support SAP security from a Basis perspective (user administration support, authorizations coordination, certificates).
• Cooperate closely with infrastructure, database, cloud, and application teams.
• Maintain SAP Basis documentation, operational guidelines, and technical procedures.
• Support audits, compliance requirements, and technical assessments.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to strengthen our SAP Operations team. The role is responsible for the technical operation, stability, and availability of SAP system landscapes. The position plays a key role in ensuring reliable SAP services, supporting system changes, and cooperating with application teams, infrastructure teams, and external service providers in a global environment.
