Job summary

BeamNG GmbH is seeking an experienced Rendering Engineer to join our remote-first team. You will dive into our bespoke C++ engine, implement and optimize rendering features, and ensure real-time visuals across platforms.

You'll collaborate with artists and engineers to deliver high-fidelity visuals, diagnose GPU/CPU bottlenecks, and mentor peers as needed. Fluency in English is essential; relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of creating or modifying rendering code in a custom or proprietary engine.
• At least 5 years of experience in C++ and real-time rendering.
• Experience with multithreading primitives and parallel command recording.
• Hands-on with DirectX 12, Vulkan, or console APIs and shader authoring in HLSL/GLSL.
• Strong understanding of the real-time rendering pipeline and GPU hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve rendering features end to end in our engine.
• Optimize GPU/CPU frame time and memory usage.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers to achieve real-time visuals.
• Investigate and resolve vendor/driver/hardware issues across hardware.
• Assist with builds, integrations, and CI.
