Job summary

Absorb Software is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to drive manual and automated QA testing for AI-augmented software. You will review specs, develop test plans, and lead junior analysts while leveraging AI tools to accelerate test authoring and ensure robust quality.

The role emphasizes spec-driven development, AI observability, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Customer Experience. Remote-first with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manual and automated QA testing of web applications.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript with Playwright or similar framework.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools for test automation.
• Understanding of spec-driven development methodologies (AI-DLC).
• Ability to build and maintain AI skills and agent workflows.
• Knowledge of non-deterministic testing for AI/LLM features.
• Experience designing eval datasets and metrics for AI features.
• Familiarity with AI observability platforms (Arize, LangSmith).
• Solid QA methodologies, SDLC, and test planning/estimation.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication; mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design documents to provide feedback.
• Create and update test plans and test cases; lead QA activities.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts with Playwright or similar.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate test authoring and maintenance.
• Build reusable AI skills and agent workflows to streamline QA tasks.
• Apply AI-driven development lifecycle to translate requirements into specs.
• Design evals for AI-powered features and measure quality metrics.
• Configure AI observability tooling to track model/agent performance.
• Identify, record, and close defects; perform thorough regression testing.
• Share knowledge through documentation and QA presentations.
