Job summary

Sphera is seeking a QA Manager to lead quality assurance across multiple product lines and concurrent projects. This hands-on management role oversees a team of QA engineers, partners with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases and continuous improvement.

You'll drive QA strategy, resource allocation, automation initiatives, and AI-driven quality transformation while balancing risk and delivery speed across diverse tech stacks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software QA, including 2+ years in QA leadership or team management.
• Experience managing QA across multiple products or projects.
• Demonstrated transition from manual to automated testing with planning and tooling decisions.
• Strong understanding of test automation and test pyramid; avoid over-indexing on UI/E2E tests.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and testing practices (AI DLC).
• Experience with heterogeneous or legacy tech stacks is a plus.
• Familiarity with risk-based testing and regression planning for enterprise SaaS products.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with QA tooling and test/work management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers across product lines.
• Allocate QA resources across projects and sprints.
• Define and execute QA strategy, planning, and risk-based coverage.
• Drive automation investments and AI-driven quality transformation.
• Ensure release readiness and collaborate with Engineering Managers during regression windows.
