Job summary

CoverGo, the AI‑native insurtech platform, seeks a Lead QA to define and own quality strategy across a fast‑growing product suite. This 100% remote role offers direct impact and collaboration with Head of QA and cross‑functional teams.

You will oversee the testing lifecycle, drive automation, governance, and performance/security testing, while mentoring QA leads. Experience with AI‑powered processes is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software QA spanning manual and automated testing of web and API applications, including 2+ years managing QA Leads or multi‑team QA.
• Experience in insurance or regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Proven track record establishing QA processes, tooling, and standards organization‑wide.
• Experience turning quality metrics into insights for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide full oversight of the testing lifecycle across multiple teams and projects, defining and enforcing QA processes and standardizing tools.
• Establish and refine QA processes and standards for testing products before market release.
• Ensure scalable test infrastructure including performance, security, and compliance testing.
• Identify systemic quality gaps and risks; run trend analysis on quality metrics.
• Deliver executive‑level QA insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Manage and mentor QA Leads and senior engineers; drive performance and career growth.
• Drive agile testing advocacy and quality culture across the product lifecycle.
• Oversee QA engineers and leads testing across cross‑functional teams and automation efforts.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business analysts to shape requirements and testing strategies.
• Review software requirements and design docs to ensure testing needs are addressed early.
• Triages defects and maintains visibility on cross‑subsystem interactions.
• Continuously improve testing infrastructure and CI integration.
