Job summary

Kake is a remote-first company seeking Senior QA Engineers to ensure quality across high-performance systems. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, collaboration with product and engineering, and delivering reliable software.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in QA or software testing, strong manual and automated testing capabilities, and experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO. This position is fully remote and globally distributed, with US-timezone overlap and USD

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Experience testing web applications, APIs, mobile apps, and backend systems.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO.

Responsibilities

Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
Perform manual testing to identify functional, integration, usability, and edge-case issues.
Create, maintain, and improve automated test suites and testing frameworks.
Test web applications, APIs, and backend services for functionality, reliability, and performance.
Validate AI-generated code and features to ensure they meet quality, maintainability, and business requirements.
Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers on solutions.
Contribute to quality best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
Participate in requirement reviews and help identify risks early in the development process.
