Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking a Senior Automation Tester to help build a cloud-native analytics platform for a leading global investment bank. You will design and implement automated test strategies, integrate with GitHub/GitLab CI/CD, work with Java, Azure, and SQL, and drive quality across 50+ business units.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Automation Testing experience in Banking/Financial Services
• Solid Java backend development and testing experience with BDD and AI-assisted test automation
• Experience designing robust automated tests in Azure/cloud environments based on user stories and criteria
• Strong SQL knowledge and data validation skills
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation (GitHub/GitLab)
• Knowledge of performance, load, and security testing methodologies
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test strategies for a cloud data platform used by 50+ tenants
• Design scalable test frameworks that integrate with CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to validate functionality
• Own end-to-end testing of new features, define tests, write automation, analyze results, and drive improvements
• Identify opportunities to optimize test coverage and reduce manual effort
• Communicate progress and risks to ensure quality and transparency

Responsibilities:

• Engineer robust test automation for a cutting-edge cloud data platform, ensuring it meets the complex data transformation needs of 50+ business tenants.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable test frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines, accelerating delivery and reducing defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate functionality, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Own end-to-end testing of new features—from defining test strategies and writing automated tests to analyzing results and driving continuous improvements.
• Champion engineering excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform reliability.
• Communicate progress and risks effectively, contributing to a culture of transparency, quality, and innovation.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 7+ years of experience in Automation Testing with Java, preferably in Banking and Financial Services domain.
• Solid Java Backend development and testing experience along with with behavior-driven development and AI-assisted test automation.
• Proven ability to design and implement robust automated test cases in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Solid understanding of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, and pipeline automation.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex systems and developing scalable test automation solutions.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
