Luxoft, Kraków, seeks a Senior Automation Test Engineer to advance a cloud data platform powering multiple business units. You will architect robust automated tests with Java, leverage Azure, and drive CI/CD integration across cross-functional squads.

You will own testing strategies, collaborate with developers and data engineers, and push for high-quality, scalable solutions that meet complex data transformation needs in a regulated, banking-influenced context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Automation Testing experience with Java, preferably in Banking/Financial Services.
• Solid Java Backend development and testing with behaviour-driven development and AI-assisted test automation.
• Proven ability to design and implement robust automated tests in cloud environments (Azure) based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, and pipeline automation.
• Knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer robust test automation for a cutting-edge cloud data platform, ensuring it meets the complex data transformation needs of 50+ business tenants.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable test frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines, accelerating delivery and reducing defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate functionality, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Own end-to-end testing of new features—from defining test strategies and writing automated tests to analyzing results and driving continuous improvements.
• Champion engineering excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform reliability.

Mandatory Skills Description

• 7+ years of experience in Automation Testing with Java, preferably in Banking and Financial Services domain.
• Solid Java Backend development and testing experience along with with behavior-driven development and AI-assisted test automation.
• Proven ability to design and implement robust automated test cases in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Solid understanding of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, and pipeline automation.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex systems and developing scalable test automation solutions.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to Kafka or other event streaming platforms is a plus.
