Job summary

Luxoft is joining a high-impact project with a leading global investment bank to build the Multi-Tenant Enterprise Governed Data Platform (MEGDP) on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on crafting robust automated tests for a cloud Data Platform powering 50+ business units, with exposure to regulatory priorities and a clear growth path.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automation testing with Java, preferably in Banking/FS.
• Strong Java backend testing and AI-assisted automation with BDD.
• Proven ability to design automated tests for Azure cloud environments.
• Solid SQL knowledge.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools like Git/GitHub/GitLab and pipeline automation.
• Knowledge of performance, load, or security testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities in complex systems and scalable automation.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer robust test automation for a cutting-edge cloud data platform, ensuring it meets the complex data transformation needs of 50+ business tenants.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable test frameworks that integrate seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines, accelerating delivery and reducing defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate functionality, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Own end-to-end testing of new features—from defining test strategies and writing automated tests to analyzing results and driving continuous improvements.
• Champion engineering excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform reliability.
• Communicate progress and risks effectively, contributing to a culture of transparency, quality, and innovation.

SKILLS

Must have

• 7+ years of experience in Automation Testing with Java, preferably in Banking and Financial Services domain.
• Solid Java Backend development and testing experience along with with behavior-driven development and AI-assisted test automation.
• Proven ability to design and implement robust automated test cases in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Solid understanding of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git/GitHub/GitLab, and pipeline automation.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing, load testing, or security testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging complex systems and developing scalable test automation solutions.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to Kafka or other event streaming platforms is a plus.
