Job summary

Software Mind is building a private cloud solution for a government institution in Western Europe. You will work on backend design, development, testing and deployment, with migration and long-term maintenance as part of a multi-year engagement.

You’ll collaborate with architects and stakeholders to shape the solution and ensure successful production operations. As a senior backend engineer, you will mentor engineers, guide technical decisions, and help define future phases and pre-sales inputs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial Python experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Robot Framework and Pytest.
• Experience with containers and Linux system administration.
• Networking knowledge (IPv4/IPv6) and security considerations.
• Consulting mindset with ability to align with business goals.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend applications.
• Improve existing backend infrastructure and workloads.
• Collaborate with architects and designers on system design.
• Migrate workloads to the new environment and support production.
• Contribute to pre-sales input and scope estimation discussions.
