Software Mind is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to design and develop scalable backend solutions for a data-intensive platform supporting cyber risk analytics. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to shape technical solutions and advance the platform and engineering practices.

The role focuses on building reliable services, REST APIs, data processing pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure while contributing to testing and code quality alongside a talented team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Strong backend and REST API development experience.
• Solid SQL knowledge with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data-intensive applications or large-scale data processing.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and clean code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
• Build scalable solutions for processing, ingesting, transforming large datasets.
• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modeling and platform improvements.
• Improve software quality through code reviews, testing and mentoring junior developers.
