Job summary

The Codest is hiring a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and routing algorithms to support a leading European e-commerce platform. You will work on backend services, routing optimization, and cloud-based data processing in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of backend Python/SQL experience, strong knowledge of logistics, geospatial data, and modern infrastructure tools.

Qualifications

At least 4 years of commercial backend Python and SQL experience.
Experience with Python routing algorithms and microservices.
Knowledge of logistics domain, network analysis, and VRP.
Familiar with geospatial data concepts via code (PostGIS).
Proficient with GCP and tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow.
Strong emphasis on clean code, TDD, CI/CD and rigorous reviews.
Ability to design and scale a microservices architecture.
English level B2+ and Warsaw monthly onsite.

Responsibilities

Develop backend services and routing features using Python and microservices.
Work with data and cloud components (GCP, BigQuery) and SQL.
Implement and maintain infrastructure with Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Uphold engineering excellence through code quality, TDD, and rigorous reviews.
Design and scale a microservices-based architecture.
