Job summary

Altoros in Poland is seeking a Senior Python Backend Developer — L3 Support (SRE/Python + Unity-integration) for a part-time engagement up to 20 hours per month, starting August. You will support a Django application, CMS, backend services, PostgreSQL database and GCP infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of Python backend experience, deep Django/DRF, strong PostgreSQL, and incident response work with English at B2+ level. Nice-to-have: Unity/Kaltura integration and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial Python development.
• Deep Django + DRF (REST API design, auth, serialization, pagination).
• Strong PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, queries, ORM + raw SQL).
• GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, logging/monitoring, basic CI/CD.
• Incident response / RCA experience; able to work independently.
• Proven support/SLA experience.
• English level B2+ or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support a Django application, CMS, backend services, PostgreSQL database and GCP infrastructure.
• Review logs to diagnose issues and resolve post-launch bugs.
• Monitor application performance, response times, and error rates.
• Tune PostgreSQL queries, manage indexes, and perform DB maintenance.
• Manage backups and apply schema changes.
• Update the Django app in response to Unity/Kaltura integrations.
