Muehlhan Wind Service in Szczecin, Poland, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex wind-energy projects from initiation to closeout. You will manage cross-functional teams, control scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project management tasks, delegating to Technical Assistants, Project Assistants, Site Managers, etc.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and quality standards; update work instructions and quality plans.
• Negotiate competitive contracts, monitor costs, and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Prepare project execution plans, compare actual vs budgeted costs, and conduct post-project analysis.

Location:

Project Manager can be located in our office in Poland: Szczecin (1 Maja 39). You need to upholdworkingpermit in the location mentioned above.

The role:

A Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with scope requirements. They lead cross-functional teams, allocate resources effectively, mitigate risks, and uphold quality standards. Beyond project execution, Senior Project Managers mentor junior staff, promote collaboration, and drive continuous process improvements.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for organizing and prioritizing daily tasks and key departmental activities in alignment with the Business Unit Manager.

The Senior Project Manager's responsibilities encompass several key areas.

During the execution of a project, the Senior Project Manager has full responsibility for ensuring that the contract or framework agreement for the specific project is adhered to and fulfilled. The goal is to meet the financial targets for the project and deliver the project to the specified quality standards.

Contract Management

The Senior Project Manager must ensure that the framework agreement, purchase order, or contract is fulfilled, particularly regarding time, scope, and quality. Additionally, they must ensure that all contractual notifications are issued and properly documented.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for:

• Establishing and updating a Risk Register and ensuring that a mitigation plan is developed.
• Implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize risk.
• Notifying upper-management immediately if issues arise.

Stakeholder Management

The Senior Project Manager must establish a Stakeholder Matrix and ensure that all internal and external stakeholders receive the right information in the appropriate format.

Project Management and Organization

Key responsibilities include:

• Fostering a positive work atmosphere and maintaining professional communication with customers and team members.
• Delegating and following up on work tasks (to Technical Assistants, Project Assistants, Site Managers, etc.).
• Providing ongoing project updates and addressing concerns with the Business Unit Head relevant employees, customers, and subcontractors.
• Ensuring compliance with current HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and verifying that the quality meets agreed-upon standards.
• Assisting in the preparation of departmental work instructions, procedures, job descriptions, and quality plans and ensuring the documentation remains up to date.

Cost Management

The Senior Project Manager’s primary objective in cost management is to minimize project costs while maintaining competitiveness in the market.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in negotiating competitive contracts with subcontractors.
• Minimizing costs related to energy and consumables.
• Controlling hourly labour costs and staff expenses.
• Ensuring optimal project planning with ongoing cost monitoring.

Bidding and Projects

• The Senior Project Manager is jointly responsible for ensuring that inquiries are addressed and that tenders are calculated and prepared in accordance with the company's current guidelines.
• Preparing a project execution plan that includes expected project costs and profit budget.
• Handling customer complaints in cooperation with the Quality Department.
• Comparing actual vs. budgeted costs.
• Conducting post-project analysis to gather lessons learned.

Reporting

• Ongoing updates to administration, including project creation, procurement requisitions, delivery notes, control forms, invoice approvals, etc.
• Division reports detailing project status and forecasts.

Qualifications / Competencies:

• Extensive experience in contract negotiation and risk management.
• +5 years of experience in the Wind Industry.
• Strong ability to define project scope, oversee execution, and optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting across multiple projects.
• Proven leadership in stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment between business objectives and project goals.
• Skilled in team development, mentoring, and fostering collaboration to drive high performance and accountability.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
• Advanced analytical skills for risk management, performance improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication for reporting, negotiations, and client interactions.
