Job summary

Toyota Boshoku Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer at our Wykroty, Poland site. You will own master scheduling, budgeting, line balancing, layout setup, and risk evaluation for new projects, driving PFMEA and process design from feasibility through start of serial production.

You will analyse drawings, ensure IATF/ISO compliance, prepare process plans and equipment specs, and lead supplier research and progress tracking while delivering cost-effective solutions and KPI-driven

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Process knowledge in Plastic Injection, Lamination, Door/Hedlining assembly and adhesive technologies.
• MS Office and 3D design tools proficiency.
• English language at least B2.
• Driving license B.

Responsibilities

• Prepare master schedule and budget for new projects, including equipment schedule, line balancing, layout preparation, and risk evaluation (PFMEA).
• Take full process preparation responsibility of New Projects from feasibility and design to manufacturing, assembly, automation, trials, and start of serial production.
• Analyse drawings, ensure IATF/ISO compliance, review quality requirements and PFMEA.
• Prepare process plans and equipment specifications, study production volume and finalize capacity calculations.
• Research new suppliers and equipment makers; negotiate and track progress through stages.
• Install processes at Toyota Boshoku plants and handover documentation with KPI targets.
• Report project status to division management and explore new technologies to reduce costs.

Job Description

• Prepare Master schedule and budget for new projects (incl. equipment schedule, line balancing, layout preparation, risk evaluation - PFMEA, tools capacity evaluation, Cp/Cpk);
• Taking full process preparation responsibility of "New Projects", starting from Cost Feasibility & Process Design to Manufacturing / Assembly / Automation / Fine Tuning / Trial / Shipment / Installation and Acceptance of New Equipment's and New Dies, until start of Serial Production;
• Analyse technical drawings, review global standards and quality requirements, check process risks with P-FMEA and IATF/ISO requirements;
• Prepare process plans and prepare equipment specification sheets, study on production volume and finalize capacity calculations, prepare project schedule for each equipment and follow-up
• Research new suppliers and equipment makers (quotations, negotiations, follow-up maker's progress for each stage)
• Install processes to Toyota Boshoku production plants and handover all process and documentation with desired condition, KPI values,
• Grasp all inputs, functions and outputs of process in terms of Safety, Cost, Quality, Efficiency, Environment, Ergonomic, Logistics, Carbon Neutral and Maintenance
• Report project status to division management;
• Research new technologies and apply optimization to reduce process cost and improve process continuously, involve in APQP, SPC, PFC, Shop and other Quality & Manufacturing improvement activities

Requirements:

• Willing to make domestic and foreign business travels (frequency depends on project timeline, around 30% of your time);
• University degree in Mechanical / Electric-Electronic / Mechatronics / Automotive / Manufacturing Engineering;
• Process knowledge over Plastic Injection / Multi Layered Lamination / Door Assembly / Headlining Assembly / Adhesive and Pressure based assembly technologies is a plus;
• MS Office, 3D design software review and modify knowledge is required;
• Good team player, actively involved in teamwork activities, creative and proactive approach on problem solving;
• Familiarity with problem solving methods (TBBP, A3 Reporting, Six Sigma, 8D, etc);
• English obligatory min. B2;
• Functions well under pressure, perform effectively in a deadline environment, work in matrix organization;
• Driving license cat. B;
